l’m a life long Essendon supporter! my opinion is this we are trying to play a game style that does not suit our current list right now? we have a fairly young list all over instead of trying to guard the space they should be playing a man on man type of game now? get back to basics when your not playing with confidence! l have noticed also at times we look lazy? we don’t chase with gut running passion? and yes that shows in out tackle count also! and yes we have had lots of injuries to players we are missing badly! so also we don’t have enough depth in certain area’s! and certain players are not quite ready as in our young tall’s! l would settle McGrath at half back he plays his best football in that position? both Reid and Cox need to build there bodies for AFL rigors! it will take time, l think the side had a good season last year played out of there skins and with playing all the top sides early and with the injuries we have struggled>
Hi Rohan/Robert,
I have noticed a reluctance to turn the podcast into the “Essendon Show”, but rest assured, for many of us, hearing the two of you speak about how horrendous the Bombers are is a rather joyful experience and one of the highlights of the show. I, for one, will never get tired of it. Vent forth I say. I would understand the reluctance if it the Bombers were winning – in that case, I would probably flick past the discussion…
Cheers
