First time listener, and really appreciate your industry intellect and insights at EFC.
As an Essendon member and with our recent results, its only natural you want heads on a plate to fix the issue. Rutten’s Thursday press conference and Heppel’s media interview on Fox footy both pointed to 1) belief in the playing group and 2) the player group having to bring a harder edge 3) playing their own style consistently (within a game, and week to week).
So yes it smells a bit seeing Xavier contract extension when I want a head on a plate, but if anything I’d be asking for players heads to roll – I’m not as convinced of the board room issues you speak of. I’d appreciate if you can demonstrate and discuss how the CEO and board could be supporting our failing playing style? What more does our footy department need?
Thanks,
Steve
Hi guys, l love the passion and truth you have both talked about! and respect your thoughts on football and the management that is not working in the right manner to get the EFC back on track at actually being a good football side? l’m all for a complete review of the footy department from the top position down! and l’m sick of all the bull shit talk and excuses l just want this once great club to get back and do the things that made us win premierships and be known as a tough and respected club! cheers boys.
