Footyology Podcast: Barely alive and it’s only Round 5!
On the Footyology podcast this week, RoCo & Finey talk teams in trouble, the bigger toll injuries now take, and Finey breaks an EXCLUSIVE! Media Watch looks at perhaps an over-correction in commentary styles, AFL experience v viewing experience when it comes to credible commentary and tragic tales sensitively told. We preview all nine games in Round 5, and Never Again features … well, still trying to work out exactly what that was about! All we know is, you need a dose of this in your footy diet!
Hi boys, enjoying the show. I hate to be ‘that’ person who pulls someone up on every little thing they say but I was interested to hear Finey question the importance of Hawkins, Taylor and Henderson in the Geelong side. Finey said something to the effect of “not many goals coming through the Hawkins avenue”, just to clarify, Hawkins was leading the goal assists after 4 rounds (in the whole competition!) and is extremely important in allowing Menzel to play a deeper and more isolated role – as seen on Saturday night in Hawkins’ absence where for the first time this season Menzel failed to impact the game. Cheers.
Nice to hear you did some research about a non Victorian team. Regarding freo the list has been turned over in the last 3 years.
Expect tom north to get a game when he is fit. Plus we have griffin Logue injured and Brennan cox in the wafl
